2017 Ophthalmic Tech – West Region Runners-Up

Amber Rogers has been recognized in the West region as one of the top 5 Outstanding Ophthalmic Technicians in 2017.  Christina Roman, who nominated Rogers said, “She is a master multitasker and a wealth of knowledge and experience that she is always willing to share!” Rogers’ colleagues say she has the ability to empathize with anyone—making patients feel that they are being listened to while explaining their diagnoses in a clear way.

 

Beth Kumpe, COA

Beth Kumpe has been recognized as one of the top 5 in the 2017 Outstanding Ophthalmic Technicians in the West region. Rachael Alvarado, who nominated Kumpe, says “She gives 110% of herself every day, is such a hard worker and an excellent leader/mentor.  I know I can go to her with any questions anytime.”

 

Sharo Lindley, COA
North Idaho Eye Institute

Sharo Lindley was nominated by Leah Christy, for the 2017 Ophthalmic Technician Award.  Lindley was in the top 5 for the West region.  “Sharo is always putting the patients and their needs first,” says Christy. “Even in complicated situations, she will always find a solution to make the patient comfortable and happy and making sure they get the treatment they need.”

 

Tammy Kennan, COT

Tammy Kennan was one of the top 5 in the West region nominated by Anna Reed.  Kennan is very calm and understanding with her patients. “People don’t always take the time to truly listen to their patients and understand what is going on, but she does,” says Reed. “She’s understanding and empathetic.”
